Phenom Elite was founded in 2013 by CEO and Founder Nathan Dorton, a former walk-on wide receiver at Appalachian State University who was inspired to break down the process behind designing high-performance athletic gear. What started as a $65 loan from his dad has grown into a full-service licensed sports brand — designing, manufacturing, and selling premium gear directly to athletes and through major retail partners.
Today, Phenom Elite Baseball brings that same design-first mindset to the diamond. Officially licensed DC Comics batting gloves. An exclusive partnership with Axe Bats as an official authorized seller. Lightweight performance cleats. And the #BigLeagueBound apparel line built for travel ball families chasing the next level.

BASEBALL MILESTONES
- 2020 — Signed a licensing deal with Warner Media to produce gloves and gear featuring DC Comics characters and other licensable properties.
- 2021 — Launched the Phenom Universe collection featuring The Batman, Superman, The Flash, and The Joker — now a signature look across both football and baseball lines.
- 2023 — Phenom Elite Baseball was officially launched as a dedicated baseball brand and storefront, with the #BigLeagueBound apparel line as its flagship identity.
- 2026 — Announced an official authorized seller partnership with Axe Bats, bringing the full Axe lineup — BBCOR, USSSA, USA Tee Ball, Pro Maple wood, and Slowpitch — to Phenom Elite Baseball.
- 2026 — Added Quantum Speed and Quantum Speed 2.0 cleats to the Phenom Elite Baseball lineup after seeing growing demand from baseball athletes wanting a lighter, faster, more modern feel on the diamond.

Phenom Elite is a licensed brand that's been building premium sports gear since 2013 — with retail placement at Dick's Sporting Goods, SCHEELS, Dunham's, and Academy, plus active licensing agreements with DC Comics, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros., Kool-Aid, and Pop-Tarts. Phenom Elite Baseball is the dedicated baseball arm of that brand, focused entirely on the gear baseball athletes actually want to wear.
